On 30 October 2009 Transgarant received the first batch of 150 new open-top cars of 12-296-01 model manufactured by Altaivagon. The rolling stock was delivered under the operational lease contract which was signed for two years with Baltic Leasing. Under the contract, Transgarant will receive 500 open-top cars before the end of 2009 (200 units – in November, 150 units – in December). The gondola cars will be used for the coal transportation. After the deliveries are completed Transgarant will operate the fleet consisting of 15 200 railcars.
