TransContainer and Green Integrated Logistics Sign Memorandum

On 6 November 2009 TransContainer, the Kaluga Region and Green Integrated Logistics signed a memorandum of intentions on cooperation. After successful negotiations the parties demonstrated their willingness to develop the mutuially beneficial cooperation in container service in future. In accordance with the document, Green Integrated Logistics and TransContainer with the support of the Government of the Kaluga Region will arrange container service for Samsumg Electronics under “open book” principle. Green Integrated Logistics will assist in signing a direct contract between TransContainer and Samsumng Electronics to launch the cargo transportation of the concern and provide best logistics schemes for container trains from South East Asia via Zabaikalsk and from Europe to the Kaluga Region. The Government of the Kaluga Region will support the companies in cargo transportation for Samsung Electronics. The cargo will be shipped by rail to Obninskoye (the Kaluga Region) and then by road to the plant of Samsung Electronics in Vorsino Industrial Park. The rolling stock of TransContainer will be deployed in the project. The company will guarantee the supply of fitting platforms and containers. The logistics infrastructure of the Kaluga Region which was developed with the support of the Government of the Kaluga Region will be used to deliver and handle the cargo.
