airBaltic Starts Kuusamo – Lappeenranta and Kuusamo – Riga

On April 1, the Latvian national airline airBaltic will start operating flights on the route from Kuusamo to Lappeenranta and from Kuusamo to Riga, Latvia, to offer convenient connections to 80 destinations in Europe, Russia, CIS and the Middle East. Tero Taskila, Chief Commercial Officer of airBaltic: “For the residents of Kuusamo, the new route to the Latvian capital opens 80 destinations via North Hub Riga. On the other hand – business and leisure travellers from Western Europe, Mediterranean region, and the CIS now have affordable flights to Kuusamo to visit the region and thus support its economy.”

airBaltic will fly from Kuusamo to Lappeenranta three times a week – Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays (from Lappeenranta to Kuusamo on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays). Passengers will board a Fokker 50 aircraft for a flight that will last one hour and 40 minutes. One-way ticket prices will start at EUR 29, including airport fees and transaction costs. airBaltic will fly from Kuusamo to Riga three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays (from Riga to Kuusamo – Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays).
